How to Host a Hen Party | Bachelorette Party
Known as a bachelorette party in the US and Canada, a hen party is the British term for a bride’s pre-wedding gathering with friends. Hosting a hen party is a great way to bring in a fun group who will fill up your establishment and probably spend a lot of money on food & beverages.
Entertainment for a hen party
While the bride’s friends will likely organize most of the festivities, your bar can facilitate the event by offering to help with activities, such as a bride’s trivia contest, drinking contests, games like ‘truth or dare’ and ‘never have I ever’, etc. If you have an outdoor area or patio, transform the party into a mini festival with lights, balloons, banners, etc., with a DJ or live band or offer to set up karaoke.
Hen party alternatives: Bridal shower & Bridesmaids luncheon
Some brides-to-be might not opt for a night of debauchery and instead prefer something more sedate held during the daytime. Events like a bridal shower or bridesmaid luncheon can be held in a dining area, outdoor area, or any space with adequate seating. Your bar can benefit from catering these along with all beverages sold.
